Ibis Lake was to be an upscale village development with commercial condominium units, as well as 193 residential condominiums and 52 single-family cottage homes. The master plan included almost 57,000 square feet of commercial space on grade; a 10,000+ square foot premiere restaurant space; and over 24,000 square feet of office space above an elevated parking garage. There would have been a considerable flexibility in the final configuration of the commercial space to allow for tailoring to tenants’ needs. A typical commercial unit was to be approximately 1770 square feet, about 70 feet deep, with 25 feet of frontage on both road and lake sides of the building. The units could have been subdivided or combined to form various configurations. Units were to be completed with storefronts in place and all utilities stubbed, allowing purchasers/tenants to complete the interiors to their own specifications. Commercial unit ceiling heights were to be 14 feet. |
